Alyssia Matter - (she/her)
Co-Founder & Co-Chairwoman
As Co-Chair of femella Global, Alyssia is part of the leadership team, shaping strategy and ensuring smooth execution across the organization. Together with Chiara, she oversees expansion, leads organizational development, and works closely with the femella hubs to drive alignment and growth. Alongside her work with femella, she studies medicine in her 5th year at the University of Zürich and is training to become a Swiss army doctor as a lieutenant. She stays active through soccer and cycling - both giving her energy and balance to take on these various roles.
Anna Somm - (she/her)
Co-Founder
Anna coordinates operations at femella, focusing on business development and marketing. She is passionate about launching initiatives that make a positive and sustainable impact, whereby she is particularly passionate about female empowerment. She completed her Bachelor's Degree in International Affairs in Switzerland and is now studying Business in London.
Outside of work, Anna loves staying active and traveling, exploring the world’s diverse cultures and landscapes.
Chiara Paris - (she/her)
Co-Chairwoman
As Global Co-Chairwoman at femella, Chiara helps lead the organization’s global strategy, supports the growth of hubs, and drives initiatives that empower women around the world. She completed her Bachelor’s degree in Political Science and International Relations in Italy, including two Erasmus experiences in Poland and Ireland. Between her Bachelor’s and Master’s, she took a gap year in Australia, exploring new cultures and perspectives. She is now pursuing a Master’s in International Business and Politics at CBS in Copenhagen.
Beyond her work at femella, Chiara loves traveling, spending quality time with friends and family, and listening to the stories that inspire and connect people. She is passionate about creating opportunities for women and building a global community where everyone can grow, lead, and support each other.
Carmen Christian- (she/her)
Director & Head of Product Development
Carmen serves as Head of Business Development. She is passionate about turning our mission into meaningful actions, managing projects across our hubs, and empowering those around her through her work. As a former Head of Events, she is also the go-to person for any event-related challenges.
Carmen holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from HSG and is currently pursuing her MSc in Economics and Management in Milan.
Outside of femella, Carmen enjoys exploring new destinations and embracing adventures. During the winter, you'll often find her on the ski slopes, and in the summer, she loves organizing parties and spending summer evenings with friends.
Flavia Gericke - (she/her)
Director of Finance, Legal & Partnerships
Flavia is from Zurich and serves as femella’s Director of Finance, Legal & Partnerships and Head of Global Partnerships, where she leads the corresponding teams and aligns closely with the hubs. She recently completed her medical studies at UZH and ETH Zurich and is now a medical doctor. In her spare time, she enjoys going to the gym or watching TV shows with her cat.
Antonia Schmidt - (she/her)
Co-Founder
Antonia is a co-founder, has been with femella since the very beginning and has covered many different roles: Head of legal and vice-chair, head of connect and co-head partnerships. Currently a- full-time trainee lawyer she is supporting femella as an advising co-founder, especially focussing on legal issues and partnership matters to support the whole femella organization.
Michèle Steiger - (she/her)
Head of Legal
Michèle is from Zurich and is responsible for femella’s legal structure. She is currently pursuing her Masters of Law at UZH and previously completed a semester abroad in Istanbul. Besides her studies, Michèle takes on designing projects at ETH juniors, tutors students in English and works as a ski instructor. In her free time she likes to go on bike rides, lake swims and enjoys iced lattes with friends.
Stephanie Bichsel - (she/her)
Head of Finance
Stephanie is originally from Berne Switzerland and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the University of St. Gallen (HSG) and a Master’s degree in Development Management from the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE). Now based in London, she works as an investment analyst for a private equity firm. When she’s not at work, Stephanie enjoys traveling to new places, exploring the outdoors, and catching up with friends over coffee.
Ioana Dobrin - (she/her)
Director of Marketing & Communication
Ioana is from Romania and specializes in Global Brand Management, Digital Innovation, and Cross-Cultural Marketing. Currently, she is the Director of Marketing & Communication as well as Head of Marketing at femella and also works as a Celebrity & Influencer Manager at Omega. With a wealth of experience from senior marketing roles at Breitling, Phillips Auction House, Aésop, and LVMH, Ioana excels in developing and executing global marketing strategies. She holds an MBA in Marketing. Outside of her professional life, she enjoys art, cinematography, and exploring new cultures through travel.
Alexandra Schindler - (she/her)
Head of Brand
Alexandra is from Zurich and serves as femella Global’s Head of Brand. She joined femella Zürich in 2023 to support the Marketing & Communications team.
Alexandra is currently wrapping up her Master of Law at the University of Zurich and is spending a semester abroad in Amsterdam. In her free time, you’ll likely find her with family and friends, exploring the outdoors with her dog, or brainstorming new content ideas for femella.
Lara Danani - (she/her)
Head of Communications
Lara is from Singapore and serves as femella’s Global Head of Public Relations. She holds a law degree from the University of Warwick and currently works as a Funding Associate at SeedLegals. Alongside her legal career, Lara is a singer-songwriter and has released several singles on Spotify. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, catching up with friends over dinner, going to the beach, exercising, and indulging in skincare.
